Brrrr...they'd better hurry!

Here are the pictures I took this morning. Notice the snow on the mountains...we had TONS of rain all night long in the valley! Lorren stopped on 200 South (there were no cars behind us...I promise) for me to take some pictures from a different perspective (first two pictures). One of the construction workers "mamed" me and chided us for stopping in the road. He said they've created observation openings on the east side (enlarge the last picture and you can kind of see it on the southeast corner of the temple lot). The only problem is finding parking and walking a block to get to them. We went around to the south side to take more pictures from that view. Thankfully he couldn't "catch" me again. It really looks like progress is being made. In looking at the one dimensional pictures, it doesn't look like it, but in real life, things are rolling right along.  Oh, and the News Journal reported that some cement had been poured last week.

The olympic sized pool is filling with water...

It's been rainy all day today and it's coming down in torrents right now.  Hopefully we'll have a window tomorrow when it dries out enough to take a picture.  Everytime we drove by this week, it wasn't evident that much was going on.  But it did say in the BE Journal last Wednesday that some cement had been poured, so *something's* going on.

The ball is rolling...

Whew...I almost forgot to take my weekly pictures! So we tore up to the temple lot to see if anything would show up in the pre-darkness (it did). It looks like things are moving right along. Oh, and I met a couple of people there who watch my blog! Is that cool or what?!

Woo Hoo...changes in the air!

It looks like more dirt has been taken out, but the biggest change is the stacks of lumber for what I'm assuming will be footings. A copy of the words to the groundbreaking prayer was passed out in church today and it was sweet to read. What a great time to be alive and to watch another temple of the Lord being built!

It's not my fault!

Geezzzzz...from the looks of things, it seems like the going is pretty slow up at the temple site.  The pictures I took today were pretty lame because when I parked (on the road) on the south side of the temple and ran around to the door closest to the Christmas tree wall, up pulled a car behind me.  My camera is soooo slow!  Click...w..a..i..t, click...w..a..i..t, click...w..a..i..t.  You get the picture (get it?).   Anyway, I was trying to hurry so fast that I'm surprised I didn't take a picture of my foot or something.  The pictures I did get were almost...exactly...like...LAST WEEK (as seen in this picture)!  I wonder if all the workers took the week off for conference (that wasn't nice, was it?!).  I hope none of them ever gets wind of this blog, because I'd probably make them a little peeved.  Maybe it'll be better next week!
